Resumen
This is why the present research aims to analyze the perceptions that people have towards a subject who was in prison, in order to verify if said perceptions influence criminal recidivism. For this, a narrative interview was carried out which was applied to 25 people, both men and women in an age range of 20 to 50 years from the city of Bucaramanga, Colombia. Which led to the conclusion that based on the evidence presented below, it is shown that the perception that ordinary people have towards a post-convict, does affect their process of resocialization, this is because their environment and society have a great influence on the process of resocialisation. In turn, it is presented as a conclusion that both the social, work and family environments are crucial to this process, but that the state must be included and be an active part in resocialization.
