The work environment is understood as a fundamental basis for obtaining greater productivity, according to that the document has the general objective to establish the state of the literature of theoretical postulates of the work environment in organizations and its influence on their productivity, with a focus on the development and competitiveness of a company, giving answer to some questions through a documentary review in which a descriptive design with a qualitative approach was used, through the hermeneutical method, which establishes the interpretation of texts. Referencing the characteristics of certain studies proposed by various authors, based on the review of 51 articles in the scientific literature during the last 5 years, delimited in psychosocial environments that are decisive in a work environment in Latin America and Europe. Through this review, it was found that over the years the organizations They have been more aware that productivity levels are not only affected by the extrinsic resources of the organization, but also that factors such as the environment generated by the members of the organization play a determining role. In this sense, the organizational climate section has become a variable of constant studies and interventions in the area of human resources.
