Quality Management Systems in higher education institutions consist of interrelated processes that add value to students and teachers; The general objective is to analyze the level of appropriation and use of quality standards in the face of educational processes that teachers have and the perception of quality of students in higher education institutions in Colombia. To achieve the scope, a non-experimental, cross-sectional correlational-causal investigation was carried out. When analyzing the relationship of the variables, a sense of causality is not required, giving rise to a hypothesis. Based on the above, two instruments were built for both teachers and students in order to conclude whether the hypothesis was validated or not.
