There are human organizations whose economic activity is alternating orthodox economic development, which although have been disappearing gradually being absorbed by the "western economy" have persisted and represent viable ways of sustainable economic development. It is a paradoxical fact that the Colombian Pacific region, synonymous for most of the Colombian population of poverty, underdevelopment and backwardness, represents a practical alternative to the model development homogenizer, and so, it is precisely the condition of being a region traditionally abandoned Colombian state and be seen as a suitable region to colonize, created the conditions themselves without much outside intervention for groups based there-African descent and indigenous groups develop minority-traditional schemes differ in the way of understanding productive dynamics of the rest of the country. And that is not a development model not purport to be, but if a heterodox view that given the social and natural conditions of the region "fit" much better way of understanding the lives of our fellow citizens of African descent1 , where the cultural imaginary "imported" from his African heritage, gave more importance to social relations and productive relationships are just merely an appendage of the first. . We wish to highlight that different productive characteristics to generally accepted as desirable, can and allow social conditions better quality of life to which the hegemonic development model offers those people whose education level, technical-technological, or the simple age are outside the dynamic western economic overwhelming.
