Resumen
The present publication aims to pose the relevance and convergence of Latin America’s integration. To this effect, “relevance” is analogous of the efficiency, viability, complete, impact, and results of a project; and convergence is analogous as the con-fluence and concurrence which is the result of acts and actions of converge. Therefore, this reflection over the convergence of Latin America’s integration starts by accepting the need to overcome the great asymmetries, integrating the manifest diversities. Thus, this work offers answers which considers the need to strengthen the institutions in order to regain the governability and the integration processes in the countries; as well as the development of a multilevel governance, in which civil society can achieve more partic-ipation, with a particular effort in the harmonization of economic policies and measures that guarantee social cohesion that enables a more equitable distribution of integration benefits. Considering that this is not feasible immediately a short, medium, and long-term agenda is posed here; one in which different integration agents can work together: governments, international organization, entities in charge of integration processes, academy, and civil society.
