Resumen
Introduction: The Adolescent and Youth Friendly Health Services (SSAAJ) model is a strategy of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection that seeks health institutions to create comprehensive health-care spaces exclusively for this population, specifically aimed at identifying and meeting sexual and reproductive health needs in order to mitigate risk situations affecting the quality of life and life plan of the youth population. Objective: identify administrative and welfare aspects of the implementation of the Adolescent and Youth Friendly Health Services model in Colombia. Methodology: a quantitative study with narrative review design was proposed. With the use of the previously selected descriptors, formulas were created with which an initial search was carried out in institutional databases and subsequently in openaccess databases, articles were chosen in English and Spanish, finally, an Excel database was developed with articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria raised for this investigation. Results: 40 articles were included for analysis with quantitative, qualitative, and mixed approaches. In most of the articles, the participating adolescents were between the ages of 10 and 19, showing a greater participation of the female gender; more than 80% were single and about 70% were in secondary or high school. Qualitative studies indicated that there are barriers such as limited availability, limited consultation time and limited staff with negative attitudes, these factors hinder or limit adolescents' and young people’s access to friendly sexual and reproductive health services. Conclusions: most of the articles analyzed agree that sexual and reproductive health services present barriers of access as limited availability of services. On the other hand, it was noted that negative attitudes of human talent have a far-reaching impact on adolescents, which affects the readiness of young people to attend sexual and reproductive health services.
