Sexual problems in women are usually more common than you think, as this can sometimes be a taboo subject, however, studies reveal that around 30 to 50% of women have had sexual problems at some point. moment of his life. Objective: To identify the different characteristics in female sexual dysfunction. Methodology: A narrative review was carried out in which scientific articles published (in English and Spanish) in the last 15 years were included, Decs and Mesh descriptors were used for the search using the databases of the Cooperative University of Colombia and other databases of Open access.Results: 40 articles were included for the analysis.The age of the participants ranged between 30 and 49 years; regarding schooling, 56.3% had reached primary or secondary education. Most of the authors report that between 17% and 62.4% of the women included in the studies have Female Sexual Dysfunction. Among the most altered dimensions, they mention anorgasmia (20 and 75%), dyspareunia (20 and 60%) and low sexual arousal. (10 to 51.3%). Conclusion: Research on female sexual functionality is scarce, just over half of the reviews are theoretical analyzes of this concept, the need arises to know in depth the subject, addressing it from treatment to diagnosis to provide multidisciplinary care in women who present this type of alteration.
