The conceptual design of a drip irrigation system arises from the need to work with a water saving model and to irrigate small cultivable areas. For this project it is planned to use an automated system, which can work with drip nozzles, solenoid valves and humidity sensors, which send a signal that is interpreted in a PLC. The PLC, in addition to having data input and output accessories, will have an HMI interface that will present the running process to an operator. An application software (lantronic or labview) will be in charge of controlling the system accessories such as solenoid valves. This system will have a humidity sensor that will allow a more efficient control of water use compared to other irrigation equipment of its type.
