Resumen
The main factor in this research is to make known the importance of information and communication technologies and how they impacted throughout history the way of business growth, since they arrive in order to innovate the ways of communicating, developing computer applications, and making life easier for consumers. The way in which small and medium-sized enterprises implemented TIC will be revealed. A search is approached that recognizes the role of TIC in PYMES, by means of a systematic analysis that compiles the position of various authors that link TIC as a means of change for PYMES through different theories and texts, which clarifies the results obtained. After this analysis, the research is directed into two categories of information: Plan for the incorporation of TIC in PYMES, and the use of TIC in the competitiveness of PYMES, showing a congruence between the authors, where many identify TIC as an almost indispensable tool for the country's economic growth. In the methodological aspect, the study proposed by the Economic Commission for Latin America was taken into account, who formulated some key indicators for the measurement of TIC, identifying their future challenges, to finally propose business integration as an alternative for development.
