Resumen
The present work consists of the comparison between the safety factor obtained with the support of Excel spreadsheets and computational tools such as the SLIDE software for the analysis of the stability of the slope located in the portal sector of Martinique in the city of Ibagué. To obtain data and carry out the work, the degree work “analysis of the stability of a slope located at kilometer 5 + 530 via the Ibagué-Armenia variant in the sector of the Martinique portal in the city was taken as a basis. from Ibagué; From which information was taken about the mechanical characteristics of the soil, slope geometry, among others, in order to calculate the safety factors through the methods of Fellenius, simplified Bishop, simplified Janbú, Hoek and Bray abacus and Janbu. When using the methods of Fellenius, Bishop simplified, Janbú simplified, Ábacos de Hoek and Bray and Janbú, the safety factors obtained were 0.299, 0.338, 0.330, 0.164 and 0.00197 respectively, to later be compared with the results of the software SLIDE using the percentage variation method, thus obtaining results that indicated how much they differed from each other, in order to conclude which of these methods had reliable and consistent results. Finally, it was determined which of the methods was the most successful for the study slope, thus choosing the simplified Janbú method because this is the most conservative approach, and adds in its calculations a correction factor and iterative processes, which make of this method the most approximate for obtaining the safety factor of the investigated case.
