Resumen
he computerization of processes has caused companies and organizations of all kinds (health, commercial, industrial, etc.) to have accumulated an inordinate amount of data. This has led us to call the current times as the era of Big Data, where new technologies are required to manage, develop and extract the value of complex data that is generated in large volumes and at high speeds. In this context, the application of Big Data is increasingly evident and necessary in the world of health and medicine. The great technological development has allowed us to find a way to organize so much information, but at the same time, we have also looked for a way to prevent diseases taking into account all that volume of information. The technological challenge is not small, but Big Data enables us to handle these large volumes of data and take advantage of all the information collected by applying intelligence to the data.
