Resumen
The objective of this work is to study the industry 4.0 adoption strategies in four emerging countries such as Colombia, Chile, Brazil and Mexico and four developed countries such as the United States, Japan, China and Germany. For this, a literature review was carried out in the Scopus and Google academic databases on the subject. The results are specified in a comparative table where the strengths and weaknesses of each case under study are indicated in the face of the adoption of industry 4.0. It was concluded that, in emerging countries, they present technological gaps, lack of resources, knowledge and innovation, while in developed countries they have great advantages in research and development for the implementation of Industry 4.0. It is important that emerging countries take into account the progress of developed countries in this process, to work on improving their policies, alliances and educational plans in order to be at the height of the new industrial revolution.
