Resumen
Introduction: Pre-prosthetic surgery is focused on performing surgical procedures to eliminate injuries or abnormalities of hard and soft tissues in order to facilitate the rehabilitation process, helping to properly insert the rehabilitation devices that patients require, the Purpose is to determine bibliographically the types of rehabilitation in relation to pre-prosthetic surgeries focused on hard tissues. Methods: A review of the literature published from 2015 to 2019 was carried out in databases, primary and secondary information was found, these data were entered in an Excel to be analyzed. Results: a total of 55 scientific articles were found, during their analysis, only 17 scientific articles met the parameters for the research, in the literature analysis it is shown that the need to perform pre-prosthetic surgery is born from of the multiple extractions performed, so the bone tissue tends to affect it, so it must be intervened surgically before rehabilitating; the most frequent rehabilitation after the surgical procedure is the implant, followed by complete dentures to regain functionality. Conclusions: According to the information, it is evidenced that most of the preprosthetic procedures are performed in order to increase the height of the bone crest or perform the regularity of the ridges, it is also observed that this treatment is frequently performed to rehabilitate the patient with implants.
