Resumen
Adolescent pregnancy is considered one of the public health problems that generates the most inconveniences, both for the mother and child binomial and for the Colombian state in terms of the quality of life of the population. Among the consequences that this generates are preterm births, birth before week 37, and low weight. Being these newborns, those who enter the neonatal intensive care units, with a high risk of acquiring infections, prolonging their hospital stay. Given this need, the Kangaroo Mother Program was created, a technique based on the empowerment of parents, through skin-to-skin contact 24 hours a day between the caregiver's chest and the child in a strict vertical position, and exclusive breastfeeding a free demand. However, the demands of being a kangaroo mother do not always favor acceptance and adherence to this role. Therefore, the following research question is brought up: What are the cares of the Nursing Care Process that are in the design and implementation of the Educational Adaptation Program for the adolescent / young person between 15 and 19 years of age that optimize adherence to Kangaroo Mother Method? For this purpose, it is considered necessary to design an educational program with a teaching / learning approach, which allows the adolescent to accept their current position in the family, social and educational environment, and generates an integrated and compensatory level of adaptation. The theoretical basis of this research is framed in the postulates of Callista Roy, theorist nurse of the adaptation model. And the pedagogical component, supported in Freire, seeks the connectivity of common problems, constituting a teaching-learning network through the dialogue of knowledge.
