The biosafety protocols were designed to provide protection and security to the population, through mandatory regulations for the opening of the different economic sectors of the country, after the quarantine period due to COVID-19: for this purpose, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection have created sanitary and sanitary emergency measures, which establish the various resolutions that govern the civilian population and workers during the economic reactivation. For this reason, this article was prepared under a qualitative approach with a descriptive cross-sectional design, which allowed the systematic analysis of a total of 12 regulations developed at the international, national and local levels. Now, the results indicate that the legal documents are produced under the recommendations established by the World Health Organization, likewise the countries participating in the research such as Chile, Argentina, Spain and Honduras, present numerals within the biosafety protocol they seek ratify the safety and health of its workers and clients; Furthermore, it was identified that at the local level no more than one decree was drawn up aimed at protecting the quality of life of its workers and clients. Therefore, the shortage of regulations in Colombian territory specifically in Barrancabermeja is concluded, therefore, it is recommended to take into consideration the safety and health of the personnel as the fundamental pillar for the operation of the establishments.
