Introduction: There are different learning styles and each student has a predominant one that influences the way he perceives and processes information. The objective of the present investigation was to analyze the predominant learning style according to VAK. In the undergraduate students of dentistry of the Bogotá sectional cooperative university of Colombia. Methods: quantitative, observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study, with a sample of 135 students, to whom the VAK learning styles questionnaire was applied, which was the data collection instrument with a total of 24 questions. To determine the visual, auditory or kinesthetic learning style of each one of them, the data collected were analyzed with average tables for quantitative variables and frequency tables for qualitative variables. Results: learning styles were compared according to VAK between sex, age and semester, where it was found that the general prevalence was 98% predominantly kinesthetic style, the relationship between learning style and sex was, female 76% and male 18%, in the age range there were 66% in 15-25; 29% in 26-35; 5%; for 36-45 years. Regarding semesters, only 3 % of the participants presented a learning style between visual and auditory. Conclusion. The learning style according to VAK, predominant for undergraduate dental students at the Bogotá sectional cooperative university of Colombia, is the kinesthetic learning style.
