The objective of this article is to identify the levels of burnout and anxiety in health professionals in the city of Santa Marta, Colombia. In methodological terms, it is a quantitative research with an explanatory approach that selected a sample of 59 physicians to whom the standardized measurement instruments were applied: The Maslach Burnout Inventory Questionnaire, and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (IDARE), as well as a sociodemographic characterization sheet. We can mention among the main results the presence of Burnout in 25,4% of the population, alarming levels of anxiety because 57,63% have a medium level and 42,37%, high. By way of conclusion, it is stated that both the levels of burnout and anxiety of doctors can affect their work performance and professional practice.
