The general objective of this study was to know the level of satisfaction with the Young university students life in the different academic programs. The sample was formed by 50 young adult university students of the Meta Colombia department belonging to the Medicine, Nursing, Odontology, Psychology and Veterinary Medicine programs. To know the sociodemographic variables, we design an interview also the scale of satisfactions with the life of Diener et al (2010) was used. The study was descriptive, quantitative and transversal. Results: the young university students that formed the sample had between 19 and 22 years old, but the highest frequency was between the 20 and 24 years, In the other hand 27(13.5%) were men and 23 (11.5%) were women; most of them were single and also were studying social and human science. Talking about the life satisfaction 46% of young university students showed that most of life senses are way too close of their ideal; the 62% showed that the conditions of their life are excellent; the 66% are satisfied with their life; the other 64% said that they have achieved the most important things that they want for life and the 54% said that If they had to life their life again, they wouldn’t change almost anything. Women showed a higher grade of satisfaction with life The results of this study are preliminary findings of the project “Study of the psychometric properties of the Diener well-being scales of the Colombian population” and contribute to know the degree of satisfaction with life that has the young university students that formed the sample.
