Given the current situation of Critical Reading in the university population of the country and in particular of the Cooperative University of Colombia; evidenced in the results of the Saber Pro tests carried out at this University in the periods 2016 to 2019. It is necessary to carry out this study in order to be able to make a more detailed analysis of them in order to prepare this document where a detailed study and analysis is reflected on the results obtained by state and international tests in the critical reading component for students of the Public Accounting and Business Administration programs at the Cooperative University of Colombia - Villavicencio Headquarters. Then the elaboration of a questionnaire proposal that I take promotes the evaluation of critical reading at the different levels of knowledge. For this purpose, use will be made especially of the theory of SOLO Taxonomy, which will give the north in the construction of the proposal. As a result of this study, interesting data were obtained, between 2016 and 2019, the evaluated students had a slight downward trend in the average of grades of the aforementioned tests, which leads to the conclusion that it is essential to implement and change policies within of the university in order to strengthen this weakness in the capacity of the students who graduate from this prestigious university.
