Latin America is the region that in terms of urban development has one of the highest population growth rates at the global level. Due to this, its percentage in the urban sector's population sphere doubled in the second half of the 20th century. Taking this factor into account, more sectorized studies were carried out in order to find a solution to the internal problems of each city in the different Latin American countries.
