The present research aims to identify the professional field in relation to the interests and preferences of the eleventh-grade students of the Isidro Caballero Delgado School in Floridablanca, Santander. To carry it out, a descriptive quantitative study was carried out through the application of the psychometric test, professional interests and preferences-reviewed IPP-R and to identify the professional fields of each student, with the participation of 61 students and 52 sample , between the age range of 15 to 20 years, according to the data found, the professional fields of preference are agricultural and economic, both with a similar distribution and equivalent to 13.46% and the fields of less interest are artistic-plastic, mechanical - manual, administrative, military-security, risk adventure, persuasive and social policy with a similar distribution and equivalent to 1.92% An orientation guide was provided to manage the life project, starting with the theoretical references, regulations, the role of the guidance teacher, the ways of discovering individual potentialities, performing exercises, reviewing the universities and the possibilities of payment and access, the role that meets the family and life expectancies.
