Resumen
In veterinary medicine, the importance of the immune system during the life process of all species has been known in recent decades. The immune system is one of the fundamental elements for the maintenance of life, since it defends the organism in its interaction with the environment, due to the fact that in the environment there are a series of microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites that must be faced daily and that can compromise the health of the individual. For this reason, substances that stimulate the immune system known as Immunomodulators have been studied. The characteristic of the immunomodulator is to activate the non-specific response capacity of the organism and the defense cells, immunity that is mediated by immunomodulating cells producing antibodies produced by B lymphocytes. In the same way, they allow an initial activation state of blood monocytes to become the tissues in macrophages and give rise to a better non-specific response, also stimulating the synthesis of some important cytokines that can contribute to the activation of the specific immune response. For this reason, the objective of this research was to determine the immune response in broilers vaccinated against Newcastle that receive an immunomodulator, demonstrating if the incorporation of Immunomodulators, can be used in the support of the conventional prophylaxis, as it is the vaccination against Newcastle, increasing in a certain way the capacity of the immune response, as well as to improve the zootechnical indexes, obtaining as a result, that these contribute as long as the vaccination processes and the chickens' health state is adequate for their productive reason, since even though there was improvement in the study groups, the serological report showed infectious problems in the animals.
