| Resume: | OBJETIVO: Determinar el grado de adherencia del tratamiento antirretroviral de pacientes que asisten a una IPS de la ciudad de santa marta. MATERIALES Y METODOS: Se realizó estudio descriptivo de corte transversal, la recolección de los datos se realizó con una encuesta codificada siendo la muestra de 166 pacientes que asistían a la IPS seleccionada para el proyecto de investigación, y el análisis de los resultados se realizó mediante el software estadístico SPSS versión 21.0. RESULTADOS: se reportó que el género con mayor adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral fue el masculino, de los 166 pacientes, el 75% fueron mujeres y solo el 25% fueron hombres. El rango de edades que más predomino fue entre 40-47 años (27%). CONCLUSIONES: A pesar de que existe un grado alto de adherencia al tratamiento antirretroviral, lo que se busca es que la adherencia al tratamiento se cumpla a cabalidad en todos los pacientes asistentes y esto solo se logrará a través de una intervención y seguimiento continuo del tratamiento en los pacientes para brindar una mejor calidad de vida. |
| Abstract: | OBJECTIVE: To determine the degree of adherence to antiretroviral treatment in patients who attend an IPS in the city of Santa Marta. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out, data collection was carried out with a coded survey, the sample of 166 patients attending the IPS selected for the research project, and the analysis of the results was carried out using SPSS statistical software version 21.0. RESULTS: it was reported that the gender with the highest adherence to antiretroviral treatment was male, of the 166 patients, 75% were women and only 25% were men. The most prevalent age range was between 40-47 years (27%). CONCLUSIONS: Despite the fact that there is a high degree of adherence to antiretroviral treatment, what is sought is that adherence to treatment is fully observed in all attending patients and this will only be achieved through intervention and continuous monitoring of treatment in patients to provide a better quality of life. |
