At present the competitiveness plays an important role in the establishments of sale of alcoholic drinks, for which these must adopt new measures to stand out among the others, this way to offer a better service in the tourist sector and of leisure in the city of Ibagué, for this the following investigation was realized with the motive to identify those key points in which these establishments had emptinesses in which new measures could be adopted to improve his positioning before the other establishments in the city, being this way had like problematic to treat the way in which these places were presenting competitiveness before the market, The general objective was to analyze the current state of these establishments based on specific objectives such as documenting this competitiveness, based on different information media or databases to have a broader appreciation of the sector to be treated, followed by the identification of the different establishments located in the city of Ibagué using a database provided by the Chamber of Commerce of Ibagué and through this we used a probability sample in which we found a record of 3. 442 bars under the CIUU Code 5630; to this we used the formula for finite populations in which we had a result of 346 companies to treat but due to the COVID-19 pandemic we only took a part of these companies which were 30, to which we add that taking into account the database provided by the chamber of commerce most of the telephone numbers are fixed, so at the moment of contacting them, unfortunately we did not obtain contact with the businessmen; Following this, the instrument was applied, such as the survey to measure the competitiveness taken from Dr. Aracelly Buitrago Mejía, in which the different businessmen were contacted by digital means due to the COVID-19 pandemic mentioned above, which prevented physical contact with these businessmen. Finally, this information had to be analysed and the SPSS tool was used to find statistics by means of tables and graphs to reach the conclusion that this project proposes.
