Resumen
Information is shared about the biological and clinical aspects of aspergillosis in canines, emphasizing the species of the Aspergillus genus that are pathogenic, the type of contamination they cause, the clinical manifestations they generate, the diagnostic techniques used and the treatments they use. used to combat these infections, a search was conducted in societies and professional associations that publish information relevant to the subject. Aspergillus spp is one of the most abundant fungi on the planet, infections caused by these fungi are unusual and are limited to immunocompromised patients. In canines, local infections in the nasal cavity and ear canals are reported, as well as systemic infections that can affect the lungs, heart, spleen, kidneys, spinal cord, eyes, bone marrow and celebration. Timely diagnosis improves the prognosis of patients since clinical manifestations are usually observed in chronic phases when the affected organs are already quite compromised. The treatments are prolonged and are based on local and systemic antifungals, if necessary, surgical removal of aspergillomas is performed.
