Resumen
This exploratory (descriptive) documentary research used mixed analysis since it uses descriptive statistics and qualitative analysis. A documentary review was carried out in different databases of indexed magazines and blogs that dealt with the issue of secrecy in the relationship of a couple of young university students. In this way, it was supported by an empirical exercise that consulted the opinion of 27 women and 30 men students enrolled in the Cooperative University of Colombia, Santa Marta headquarters, between 17 and 28 years of age, who have had couple relationships. According to these interviews, 29% of women do not have secrets in their relationship, while 15% of men say that their most common secrets are regarding their past relationships, from another angle, women mentioned not have secrets about your past relationships. In conclusion, it can be affirmed that there are notable differences regarding the motivations for which men are in a relationship and for the motivations that they think their partner is in a relationship with them, one of them is that women in their main motivation to participate in a relationship is sex with 11% but when it comes to thinking about their partner is supposed to participate in a relationship with them, love prevails with 16% while sex is not in a high percentage if not with an equivalent of 2%. For this reason, it is recommended to deepen the study in students from various universities throughout the Caribbean region.
