The current investigation had as general objective "to analyze the impact of Decree 1500 of 2018 against the recognition of sacred sites of indigenous peoples in the Department of Magdalena ". Methodologically, it was develop under the qualitative approach and with a documentary technique, this approach follows a rigid and sequential process, through which we can develop questions and hypotheses before, during or after data collection, developing a clear idea of the effects generated by Decree 1500 of 2018 compared with the recognition of the sacred sites of indigenous peoples in the department of Magdalena. Also, it was based on an investigatory or exploratory method that sought to refine the research questions or propose new questions in relation to the study question, likewise, regarding the level of research, this will be descriptive, in this way the prevailing situations, customs and attitudes through the exact description of the activities, objects, processes and people involved in the research. As main conclusion the impact of Decree 1500 of 2018, should not only be measured in the legal level, but that must be valued as a significant contribution to the preservation of the social identity of the Colombian people, since the indigenous peoples represent the genesis of neogranadine idiosyncrasy, so current and future culture is committed to studying, valuing, the ancestral contribution of the natives, even more, when they stand firm to their convictions, and where their customs allow us to provide answers to metaphysical queries such as the origin of the world and the life.
