The consumption of psychoactive substances (SPA) is currently recognized as a public health problem that is affecting each of the areas of development of the person who consumes them. The World Report on Drugs of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC, 2017) affirms that the consumption of illicit drugs in the world remained in the last 5 years between 3.5% and 6 , 6%. There are around 200 million users among the world population aged 15–64, which means that approximately 13% of drug users are problem users with drug dependence and other consumption-related disorders.For the development of this research proposal, the theoretical framework focuses on the different theoretical perspectives that explain the consumption of psychoactive substances, and also emphasizes the interpretation that is made of consumption from a psychological perspective.For this research proposal, the objective is to identify the factors associated with the consumption of psychoactive substances in school adolescents from Villavicencio, with the aim of being able to describe the relationship between psychosocial risk factors and the consumption of psychoactive substances in school adolescents in the municipality. de Villavicencio, in order to establish the importance of support networks in the consumption of psychoactive substances in the adolescent population of Villavicencio and thus be able to determine what factors are associated with the consumption of psychoactive substances in school adolescents from five schools in the city of Villavicencio. The proposal is based on a quantitative research approach with a non-experimental design, in which the application of the Interpersonal Risk Factors for Drug Use in Adolescents (FRIDA) test aims to measure the prevalence of drug abuse. adolescent population to the consumption of psychoactive substances encompassing seven relevant factors in the understanding of consumption
