Resumen
In this systematic analysis of literature, it was reviewed the evolution of photojournalism since 1948 to the present and the impact that the image has had on the media, especially in the press. For this, their evolution, repercussion and references were established as search factors. The selected documents made possible to identify the existence of a professional crisis for the photographer, due to digital convergence, the delegation of the photographer to the integral journalist and censorship. The analyzed texts helped to understand that this work has not been sufficiently valued, since from the beginning its objective has been to record an event interpreting reality, thus contributing to the construction of historical memory. With the rise of technology, this profession has benefited due to the immediacy and ease of reaching a larger audience, which can access the photojournalist's work from different platforms. However, it has also been affected since many people think they are professionals for the simple fact of having a camera phone, without taking into account the elements to produce a quality image.
