Resumen
The objective of this study is to relate decision making (TD) and mood in young university students who consume psychoactive substances in the city of Neiva. A non-experimental cross-sectional design was performed with a comparison of groups. Decision making and mood were evaluated in 74 participants divided into two groups, those who consume (study group) and those who do not (control group). In order to identify the use of psychoactive substances (SPA), the ASSIST was applied, then the decision-making process was identified with the Iowa Gambling Task (IOWA), and the Beck II depression inventory and the questionnaire on the mood were used Anxiety State Traits (IDARE). As a result, a significant correlation was found between depression and seven of the substances which are included within Assist, in the same way some of these substances correlate with anxiety. But the substance that most correlates with all the variables is cocaine due to its level of neurotoxicity. Conclusion: the results demonstrate the relationship between TD and mood in psychoactive substance use, specifically in cocaine use, TD was negatively related to state anxiety.
