Resumen
The main objective of this article was to review the support mechanisms that the public sector and the entities that promote entrepreneurship in Bogotá generate to support the micro, small and medium enterprises sector. In that sense, a review of literature and research background that had been carried out in the city and that also allowed to determine the level of knowledge that small entrepreneurs have of these modalities adopted by the State was carried out. For the search of reliable and relevant data in the writing process, primary sources were used, such as interviews with a group of 15 entrepreneurs and managers of MSME support programs that are part of the research of the Cooperative University of Colombia, about the existence of cultural factors in the failure of MSMEs in Bogotá. In addition, secondary sources of interest were used as scientific articles of entrepreneurship in Bogotá and the country with a publication 5 date of no more than 5 years, in addition to rules and legal framework regarding formal entrepreneurship and MSMEs in Bogotá. However, some of the most relevant results of the research show that aspects such as ignorance of the rules, and of all the benefits, and financing alternatives, business consulting for small entrepreneurs is a threat to those who wish to formalize their business , in the case of informals, and it is necessary to generate dissemination strategies from the competent entities to the subject.
