Kidney disease is one of the densest pathologies that exist in the daily clinic of small animals and has a variety of etiologies, its diagnosis is complex and the treatment mechanisms are diverse depending on the different percentages of lesion present, the ideal is to determine or approximate the percentage of damage and in turn be able to establish the ideal treatment, in order to maintain optimal renal function and generate a quality of life in patients and through this article we show the different biomarkers and their effectiveness in determining renal damage and percentage affected in the parenchyma.
