The current investigation,using a mixed-descriptive methodology,has as it’s main ,objective the design of a didactic sequence that through the comprehension of some nursery rhymes allows the strengthening of lectocomunicative capabilities;the proposal surged through the necessity of categorizing the reading comprehension level presented on the students of first year from the IED Diana Turbay.The recollection of the information was done trough the use of an observation guide and the diagnostic test stablished by the secretary of national education,regional Bogotá,to the project “leer es volar” for first grade,which has two purposes:A.identify the writing-lecture acquisition level B.Determinate the reading quality of the students on therms of fluency,automaticity and comprehension. The evidenced results,allowed the identification of the processes implicated on the lecture,on which the students are failing and don’t allow them to reach the reading level expected for the scholar grade which is applied;according to the basic competency standards,the curricular alignments and the learning basic rights stipulated by the area of Spanish language. According to the previous statement,surge the necessity of the elaboration of a didactic sequence making use of the nursery rhymes as a pedagogical tool to strengthen processes involved (decoding,lexical processes,semantics,syntactic,fluency,etc)in the reading communicative competency.
