The present research work consists in the description and deduction of the level of reading of continuous statistical graphs that the students of the public accounting and administration program of the Cooperative University of Colombia have. The research problem contemplated analyzing and evidencing if the accounting and business administration students of the Cooperative University of Colombia differentiate, the continuous type variables implicit in the graphs and statistical tables. The research is specified through the descriptive methodology with an inductive approach. As the information collection tool, the application of surveys was carried out where a specific number of students were taken, the accounting and administration program of companies such as the population and the sample, to determine the degree of reading of graphics and the knowledge they have about statistics, and the importance these have for their daily lives. As a result of the surveys, it was possible to evaluate that it is necessary to implement strategies that increase the level of reading of the statistical graphs, as well as the depth in the analysis of the different quantitative variables. It is essential that students understand the relevance of knowledge with a broad knowledge about the reading of statistical graphs, this is vital to have a correct analysis and reach a successful conclusion on a given topic. The determined factor of the research objective was expected, finding a large isolated percentage with low reading level, which demonstrates the importance of promoting strategies that involve these levels.
