Resumen
The Colombian economy has been immersed in a series of important changes in recent decades, considering as one of the most important economic openness and the different free trade agreements with different nations around the world. Based on the foregoing, the present work sought to reevaluate the perceptions that have arisen thanks to this economic revolution, what it has meant for the country and the impact it has had on it, analyzing how it has influenced national reality especially in the labor sector, whether beneficial or not, taking as a research method the technique of collecting quantitative data and secondary data, that is, the analysis of statistics, essays, presentations, among others, that have been performed previously and that comply with the needs of the present study. Thanks to this, the author concluded that economic openness and subsequent international trade agreements have had a negative effect on certain sectors of the national economy and an increase in unemployment rates has been noted in terms of Producer sectors directly related to the figures of exports and imports, and in the same way, it has benefited to a greater extent to the countries with which it is traded, generating an unbalanced and unequal agreement.
