Resumen
The purpose of this work is to use agroindustrial waste to stabilize a material of affirmation for roads. The influence of the Sugarcane Bagasse Ash (CBCA) in conjunction with portland cement was studied in order to improve the mechanical properties of a typical soil for low plasticity clay affirmation and belonging to subgroup A-6 (8), according to AASHTO The tests that were carried out were, the standard AASHTO and CBR compaction, to compare the natural soil sample with the global proportions of 5%, 15% and 25% of stabilizing material applied to it in the dry state. Likewise, these proportions contain 3 partial combinations of CBCA; 25%, 50% and 75%. Sugarcane bagasse ash (CBCA) can be used as an additive for soil stabilization in new road infrastructure projects, to have a sustainable construction, thus reducing environmental impacts. The present work consists in the stabilization of a typical soil for construction of affirmations for roads by adding sugarcane bagasse ash - CBCA, in different percentages (25%, 50%, 75% with respect to the soil analyzed). During the experimental process soil, characterization tests were developed; In addition, the optimum moisture percentage, the maximum dry density, the CBR percentage of both the unaltered sample and the sample with the addition of CBCA and wetting and drying were obtained. To obtain the percentage of CBCA with which it is possible to meet the minimum requirements that must be met by an affirmative according to Invías. The results show that it is possible to use the CBCA to stabilize the statement, which allows to obtain benefits in the companies related to the construction of road infrastructure, since, being a waste, it generates less costs in the acquisition of the product and therefore lower cost in the maintenance stage.
