The objective of the community intervention project was to implement an emergency intervention aimed at recovering the networks and social support of the families of the La Fortuna Corregimiento, affected by the environmental emergency of the oil spill of the Lizama 158 well of ECOPETROL, in order to generate coping strategies that allowed them to overcome and / or repair the emotional impacts associated with the vital oil spill situation. This work was developed from the perspective and / or contributions of community psychology, specifically from emergency or disaster psychology. This is how to establish, together with the professional support team, tools to face the impact of the emergency; These training actions such as psychological first aid, community organization and leadership, resilience and personal and social empowerment, which facilitated the empowerment of families and communities. Likewise, it was strengthened and they managed to assume from a perspective of change the actions to be carried out in order to continue facing the consequences of the emergency. Finally, it should be noted that the psychosocial accompaniment that was carried out to this community, allowed strengthening aspects such as social organization, consensus and self-recognition as a fundamental axis of the process and in turn gender that family environments managed to establish family and community life plans for the sake of a medium and long term life project.
