WHO refers that workers do not enjoy the right to social security in some countries. In Colombia, the general comprehensive social security system provides coverage to workers in the face of contingencies that may arise at work. Dental practice presents risk factors that cause accidents or illnesses in healthcare personnel. The occurrence of occupational accidents is a current public health problem. For this reason, a process was identified in the clinics of the faculty of Dentistry block 6 of the cooperative university of Colombia (UCC) of a proposal to control the occupational risk factors that affect the health of students, teachers and clinic assistance staff. An observational study was carried out, developed in the undergraduate clinic of the Cooperative University of Colombia in Bogotá. Participated assistance and administrative staff. A questionnaire was applied which identifies risk factors, supported by an observational instrument. Data were identified and assessed using ICONTEC Standard GTC 45. And it was possible to identify the main risk factors of the dental clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry of the UCC in Block 6. The assessment allowed estimating the dimension of generating damage or disease. An improvement plan was generated to reduce the probability of generating accidents or diseases of occupational origin because occupational risk factors were found that are presented in the clinics of the Faculty of Dentistry of the XII UCC in Bogotá, The implementation of methodologies scientifically tested will reduce the risk of dental practice.
