Psychometrics and forensic sciences are intertwined from their applicability and sustenance, based on the analysis of human behavior in the legal, criminal and forensic field. These relationships can be determined under specific conditions of analysis of the environment, the content of the data collected through the different measuring instruments, the intrinsic relationships and the methodologies adopted. The objective of this document is to identify and expose, from the systematic search, sources that support the relationship between psychometry and forensic psychological evaluation, establishing the pertinent of their interdisciplinarity at a social and scientific level. Taking into account that psychometrics allows the professional to collect data, to provide greater precision in the interpretations and hypotheses that fit objectively and with support to the circumstances presented, in this case, in the legal field, this gray literature concludes that in Colombia There are limitations regarding the use of psychometric tests in the forensic field, given factors such as the validity and reliability of the tests that are subject to elements such as the evaluator's expertise and previous training in the application of the evidence; Likewise, the adaptability of the tests of foreign origin plays an important role in the use of these in Latin America.
