Resumen
The main port areas of Colombia are located in the cities of Santa Marta, Barranquilla, Cartagena and Buenaventura. The problem lies in how up-to-date or innovative are these export, import and tourism ports in Colombia. Our country compared to other ports in the world, Colombia does not comply with one of the best port infrastructure by areas of investment, updating and improvement in this area. Unlike the most important ports in Europe and Panama that have tendencies to make the most important in its continent and in the Caribbean area for its infrastructure and for the type of vessels that arrive there. The purpose of this study is to make a comparison between the main ports of Colombia with the main ports of the European continent and Panama, analyzing and evaluating its infrastructure to make a comparison that exists between them and see what similarities and differences exist between them and that. We can propose as a proposal for the improvement, updating and innovation of our port infrastructure.
