This article gives an account of an investigation carried out by students of the Faculty of Psychology of the Cooperative University of Colombia, Bucaramanga, Santander. The main objective of this research was to evaluate the executive functions of patients in the process of rehabilitation due to the use of psychoactive substances linked to a rehabilitation program in the city of Bucaramanga, Santander. For this, the BANFE-2 neuropsychological battery was used, which is an instrument that groups an important number of neuropsychological tests of high reliability and validity for the evaluation of cognitive processes that depend mainly on the prefrontal cortex. It was applied to a sample of 100 people in the process of rehabilitation for the use of psychoactive substances. The results obtained in this project showed that after the BANFE2 neuropsychological battery had been applied, a level of severe involvement in the executive areas of the brain of the patients of the home of the potter's house foundation was evidenced, since 100% 54% of the population presented a severe alteration in the total diagnosis of the application. This result being the main cause of patients not properly managing their planning processes, working memory and fluency (verbal and design), complex mental flexibility solutions, hypothesis generation, work strategies, seriation and sequencing; processes that are mostly considered executive functions.
