The objective of this research is to evaluate the emotional intelligence in the officials of a Santander transport company and analyze what type of level they present for the intervention in the improvement of the functions and the impact that this has on the work environment. The evaluation method used was the TMMS-24 scale of Salovery and Mayer and its application to 86 resident officials of Lebrija, Santander. Within the results, in the variable of emotional attention there is greater affectation since it presents a low level which goes hand in hand related to intrapersonal emotional intelligence since it can lead to generate disadvantages in the workplace, personal and social, due to the lack of emotional attention in officials and that it is considered that they could not respond adequately for clarity and regulation emotional. The conclusions of the study show the importance of generating evaluation of emotional intelligence as an indispensable labor factor for the development and course of goals organizational.
