Resumen
In Colombia there are few studies of forestry aerial biomass. In order to know the amount of biomass stored in Ficus soatensis and Tecoma stans in the locality of Puente Aranda forestry aerial biomass Bogotá, Colombia, DAP, specific height and weight of the timber were measured to estimate the quantitity of wood biomass using allometric equations mentioned in literature. From the information obtained, anallometric model to estimate urban use biomass plantations was developed. The total estimated biomass of the two species in the locality with 95% confidence varied between 233.56 and 254.83 kg ha-1, it was lower in T. stans, which ranged between 27.3 and 31.76 kg ha-1 and higher in F. soatensis which ranged between 183.38 and 245.95 kg ha-1. It is concluded that the amount of biomass and therefore carbon stored in these two species is very low, since they are not carbon reservoirs because of their middle size and slow growing.
