Resumen
Statistical graphics are displayed in different advertising spaces, newspapers, magazines, books, texts, among others, hence their importance. As students, learning related to statistical information is constant. In the consultation of books or newspapers, statistics are a fundamental part that impact on training as public accountants, administrators, economists, even when student training begins. This is a motivating reason to analyze the processes of description of the main difficulties observed in the students for the reading and understanding of the information present in statistical graphs of whole data. For the identification of what was required, an exhaustive search of statistical graphs from integer variables was carried out in all the aforementioned media. A survey is applied to public accounting students (120) of the Cooperative University of Colombia. Once these results are obtained, they are analyzed in the statistical software R. As a result, it is obtained that the student has little identification with this type of graphs in the context of his or her career, which evidences an absence of a culture of reading this type of information graph. In most of the times it is presented that the students lack the discipline of reading, respond for complying with the requirement but do not stop to interpret and analyze the information presented to them.
