The purpose of this article is to establish in learning styles in a sample of high school students of the Alfonso Gómez Gómez School in Galán, Santander (Colombia). This article is descriptive, transversal and quantitative, applied to a sample of high school students, who responded, with informed consent, sociodemographic questions and the VARK questionnaire, to identify preferences in learning styles. Within the results obtained it was possible to establish that the literary style prevails with 29%, followed by the kinesthetic style with 28%, the auditory style occupies the third place with 26% and finally with 17% the visual style. This means that of the total number of students surveyed, regardless of gender, grade, age or other variable, they have multimodal learning styles. The functioning and diversity of brain networks in relation to multimodal learning styles is discussed and it is concluded that this is why there is a great variability regarding the way that students have access and process information that are equally involved in the process learning.
