This paper is based on the descriptive research model which has as a purpose to propose constructs, data and concepts that allow to identify and describe how the Colombian Ethnoeducation is a strategy in the empowerment process and social construction, through databases, official statistical studies, projects of research, literature, magazines, articles and degree projects from different disciplines social. Through this descriptive method, village characteristics were identified Afro-Colombian, forms of behavior and attitudes of this population were evidenced; be highlighted specific behaviors, discovering and checking, through the Revised literature, the relationship between ethnoeducation and empowerment. The criteria Search basics start from an intrinsic motivation that arises as a need for approach to the legitimate truths of the Afro-Colombian people, access to a large bibliographic and documentary information, testimonies of connoisseurs and black intellectuals with its narratives of customs, ancestral rituals, even the legislation that makes it visible. The findings of the review and analysis of the information show that the Ethnoeducation based on oral tradition and implemented from the narrative is a key tool to maintain their culture, and allows this population to identify their real problems and be solution managers for your community. The information reviewed has as its source databases, texts, official documents of the different ministries and entities of the State, as well as various publications academics, and particularly the compendium of Colombian and Afro-Colombian legislation
