School coexistence is a fundamental issue among various educational institutions in the primary basic, as they reveal a growing concern about how to study and promote it with impact on learning and the demands of a peaceful society. This review of the academic literature was intended to investigate the types of school practices, themes and methodologies that characterize empirical studies on school living in a public institution, in the municipality of Matanza. The results show that the types of practices studied are mostly conventional and, to a lesser extent, intervention. Among the seven topics discussed are broader, such as school violence, even the most specific, such as bullying. At the methodological level, the trend is towards qualitative and mixed approaches; In the majority of work has been deficit the theoretical foundation of the method and the explicitation of aspects of quality and ethical research. The regulations used include variables such as climate or school environment, aggression, factors of support and risk, self-esteem, family functionality and subjective well-being. Through the educational model, the importance of creating environments conducive to the construction of social relations is vital in the conservation of culture, especially in the mission of the construction of a school for the development of learning. Therefore, it is important to take care of the social environment in which children are related, both school and family, to ensure that the reflection is positive in society.
