Resumen
The study aimed to compare the perception of social support from the State, Family and Community of adolescent mothers born in the 1960s and 1970s and 1980s in the Tolima region, during the first pregnancy. The sample consisted of a total of 30 women who were born and lived in the city of Ibagué-Tolima; and that they had to face during their adolescence their first experience of pregnancy, with ages between 26 and 56 years. The data were obtained through a survey asking about the support received and received by the State, the Community and the family. The results showed that the family is the first was the main source of emotional and economic support. The subjective assessment of the support received and received from the mothers by the Family was positive, being in the categories of very respectful, sufficient, timely, satisfactory and useful. Finally, the State and the Community have a lower incidence interpretation for those women, being entities not present in the first pregnancy experience. In conclusion, it can be determined that in all generations the most important support was that received by the family, with the absence of the community and the State. The results show that for a long time the family had to face the responsibility of supporting the teenage mother. Social support is a buffer of child abuse and therefore having been able to receive family support could reduce the risk of child abuse as the literature already points out. The question that arises is whether the fact that the family is the recipient of these cases of adolescent pregnancy did not favor their intergenerational transmission and this may be one of the explanations for the increase in adolescent pregnancy rates in the country.
