Resumen
The design of pavement structures in the tertiary network until recently in Colombia was done empirically, without conducting soil studies, traffic studies and less taking into account climatic and precipitation factors, because our country has as The main economic source of agriculture has been the need to join forces and invest in the improvement of the tertiary network of the country, these improvement activities only covered the treatment of the subgrade with the application of affirmative material, said non-durable treatment it convinced the territorial entity that the investments to each of the municipalities that needed these improvements were effective, therefore and as a commitment of the National Roads Institute, after several studies, manuals and design guides for low floor pavements were created volumes, it is for this and for the need to give a development outlets to the tertiary network, it was carried out to the design of the pavement in a route of this type using the technical documents of Invias, fundamentally to generate reliability in said documents and because they apply precisely to the area of study you have. This work is done using the asphalt pavement design manual for roads with low traffic volumes, as well as the Footprint Plate Design Guide both belong to the National Road Institute. This in order to provide the municipality with alternatives for improvement in this important way that generates well-being and quality of life for the community in the area. A fundamental part of this design is that it is carried out in a serious way using real traffic data and carrying out the study of relevant soils in order to apply these design methods.
