Resumen
The objective of this research was to implement the Learning Based on Challenges with ICT mediation to improve the identification and formulation in the solution of problems with technology typical of the eleventh grade students of the I.E Liceo Gabriela Mistral of the municipality of La Virginia Risaralda. For this, the research design had a quantitative approach of a quasi-experimental nature; which was carried out with 58 students comprising groups 11-2 and 11-3 each consisting of 29 students, the first as the experimental group and the second as the control group. An initial test was applied to the two groups to know their previous concepts about the technological competences of the problem solving component with technology and subsequently a final test that evaluated the dimensions: Identification of the problem that refers to everything related to the knowledge of the problem; and formulation of the problem that refers to the set of actions carried out in an orderly manner during a certain period of time, which respond to a demand or problem, with the purpose of finding the best solution proposal. According to the statistical tests performed (t-de student), it was possible to verify that there is a significant difference in the results of the pre and post test scores applied to the experimental group and that the didactic sequence based on the ABR methodology and ICT mediation allowed to the students of the experimental group, obtain better results in the post-test. It was also possible to verify that in the results of the total pre-test, between the experimental and control groups there is no significant difference in the students' grades. As for the post-test, there is a significant difference in the students' qualifications between the control and experimental group, with the experimental group showing better results.
